Important Links for Molly's Move and New Home

Molly needs help getting to her new home (see previous post) in SC. Click here to help get her there. Any extra will be donated to Lara's Ministry and to help Molly and her new friends!

Click here to meet Molly's new home. Lara will post updates on her for all of us back here to keep up with her new adventures. We all will miss her terribly, but this new home is an answer to so many of our prayers!

Molly, dear little girl - you've touched so many lives and you will never be forgotten. We believe Molly has an even higher calling in SC with Lara and Walk by Faith Ministry. You've been nothing but a blessing, an inspiration and a great teacher for all of us who have loved you from the second we laid eyes on you.

Bless all of you who helped Molly get to this new chapter in her life!

  • Kris Frey - who found Molly in the first place and cared for her when needed during her first months
  • Gretchen Dyer Williams - who gave Molly a home for several weeks early on
  • Jason and Amber Corey - who gave Molly a home for many weeks before here time w/Lynette and just recently too!
  • Caitlin Bubb - who gave Molly still another home for several weeks in the beginning
  • GoldHeart Golden Retriever Rescue - who took Molly in and did all they possibly could to get her the surgery and give her every chance possible to be healed and whole
  • Lynette Kauffman - who shared her home, friends and family with Molly for over a year
  • and all the MANY others who donated, supported and prayed our (all of our) precious little girl.

ANSWER TO MANY PRAYERS!

Molly has a new home ! !

It is an answer to so many of our prayers, as well her new "mommy's" prayers too.
You all know how hard we've tried to get the word out to find this precious pup a wonderful home, and to make a long story short, we have!

Lara lives in South Carolina and has had and HAS disabled dogs. She actually has a ministry and incorporates them into it. It is Walk by Faith Ministry. Lara recently lost three precious dogs - two of them within ten days of each other! She's been missing them terribly.

When news of Molly came along, she had to stop, take a step back and consider what taking on Molly would mean. She told Barb from GoldHeart she'd have to call her back in an hour. The hour was to stop everything,  pray and seek God's will.  It appears that God has been orchestrating this all along! She is excited to add Molly to her special family and will be doing so this weekend!

With all Lara's experience with disabled and wheelchair dogs, we are confident she is the perfect angel to take our precious girl and give her the dedication, love and attention she needs and deserves!

To give you goose-bumps, Lara also shared with me, last year she lost a dear friend who had helped her through a tough time. Are you sitting down? Her name was Molly. I still get choked up about this.

Molly is leaving Saturday for her trip to SC with Jason and Amber. They will travel with their two small girls, leaving their four dogs at home with the 'sitter'. This is an unplanned 'vacation' for them -  something they really can't afford to do. And Lara is working on a very tight budget and will also be traveling to meet them.

So to help Molly get to her new destination, we have  set up a CHIPIN account. This will allow you and your friends to help these special angels cover their unexpected travel and lodging  costs. Please feel free to share this with friends and to pitch in. Every little bit helps. Our goal is: $500. Click here to help.

Thank you all for keeping Molly in your prayers and helping this little pup live a full and happy life! This is not the end. . . You'll be able to follow Molly on Lara's Ministry's site. Walk By Faith Ministry.  She posts a lot of videos too. Just click on the Videos link on her site to see her 'special' friends on the beach in SC. Molly will be on permanent vacation. Praise God!

We'll miss you, dear little Molly. All the joy and happiness to you, precious little one ! !  God be with you and Lara for many happy healthy joyful years! ! !

Please share

Amber and her family are saints - caring for Molly since her previous home is no longer able to keep her. But Amber can't do this forever. With two SMALL kids and four other dogs, it's just too much for her and her husband to do for an extended period of time.

Please share, send to friends, plead with your vet or vet techs. Share this video. She's a sweet sweet dog. Very small for a golden. Love's life! She deserves a devoted home, one she will never have to leave again.

Check out this precious pup! ! Prayers, so many prayers for Molly to live a fairy-tale life with a very happy ending after such a rough rough beginning.

Click here for a great video that shows this sweet girl's awesome personality!

Molly is in need of a new home

With great sadness, Molly is again looking for a new forever home. Due to the situation where she lives, it is no longer going to work for her - no fault of her own.

If there is any saint out there who would be willing to take Molly, please contact GoldHeart Golden Rescue: web: http://www.goldheart.org/  email: president@goldheart.org.

Molly is a very small golden and uses her cart to get around quite well:) She's a joy to be around. She gets along with all kinds of animals since she's lived on the farm for over a year.

She does hold her bowel and bladder but does not know when she releases it. From what I can gather, they have been trying to get her to posture to be able to go potty, but her legs are just too stiff. The option of expressing her bowel and bladder may have to be considered. Diapers work too.

This can be done. There are so many stories on the net about success for these kinds of pets. We just need to find that special person.

She is small for a golden which makes it easier. Please get the word out about the preciuos pup!

How could I miss Molly's 1 year birthday! ! ! March 31 ! !
Big girl w/cart!
Even bigger girl w/o cart! ! ! Go pretty girl Go!

I know it's been a while but I'll try to
post some stuff from Lynette's FB Page on sweet little Molly!

04/21/12: Molly and Bodhi worn each other out playing - now it is time for a nap!

04/17/12:On facebook Molly is on alldogboots site - there are 4 pictures of her and a blurb. Just type the name in search.

Molly was born with a spinal defect and had surgery on September 26, 2011. The family is hoping that she will walk one day but the surgery was so extensive that it will be 14 months until they know if she can walk or not. Mom was really worried about this summer and not having her feet get too hot. The Meshies by Barko Booties are perfect! Now Miss Speedracer can go out and play with the other 4 dogs without her feet getting torn up!

Molly Makes My Day!

It's been a while since we've seen a post for Molly. I know Lynette has been very busy doing all she can to get the animal abuse registry implemented in MD. Thank you, Lynette - we're behind you! I just feel that to me, it's a no-brainer (hmmm, oh, never mind)
ANYWAY - here's the great news from Lynette re: Molly!
Miss Molly - she is doing great and standing on her own a lot more - not walking with the back legs yet but standing.

It's been a while so I tried to catch  up on Molly tonite. Enjoy!

January 30, 2012 from Lynette:
Molly and Char Peterson at Pet Expo - both fell in love with each other!

Resting at the Expo. Busy day :)

January 29, 2012 from Lynette:

I have one of the best husbands in the world. Every night when we go to bed he carries Molly up 3 flights of stairs to our bedroom. Now we have a new foster, Amber, who has never done stairs so last night he had to half carry her up the stairs. What a nice guy!

January 23, 2012 from Lynette:
It is so amazing - Molly and Hank are really becoming good friends and love to play together - Hank hates it when Molly has to stay in her cart.

Heidi's Law Update

From Lynette's FB Sunday, Jan 22
For those of you who live in the Washington, DC area Senator Young was interviewed by Fox 5 News and then they came to my house and interviewed me so it will be on the 10:00 pm news tonight. Please pray that this bill passes.

Hank and Molly bond

Just wanted to add another note from FB: "She was born not being able to walk on her hind legs - she had spinal surgery in September but it can take as long as 14 months before we will know if she can walk or not."

Now Molly is really mad - we have to tie down her backside so she doesn't keep trying to lift it to walk and please make note of Molly's high fashion boots so her pads do not bleed.

It is so amazing - Molly and Hank are really becoming good friends and love to play together - Hank hates it when Molly has to stay in her cart.

Molly and Hank playing - what a good time they are starting to have together!

Heidi's Law!

Please see the posts from Lynette and friends regarding Heidi. From the $7500 reward for info that leads to the killer, the legislation pending regarding Animal Abuse Registery "Heidi's Law", to local pizza shop putting reward flyers on their delivery boxes! It's not all here, so much more on FaceBook. May be time to sign up!

Lynette: Went to Annapolis, MD today with my friend Kathleen Doyle to meet with Maryland State Senator Ron Young. What a wonderful man. The Animal Abuser Registry bill will be introduced next week and then I will be asking everyone for help in contacting the committee that will pass it on for a vote. The best part - it will be called Heidi's Law!!

Lynette: The owner from James Gang Pizza in Middletown called me today and asked if I could print off reward signs and he would put them on all his take out pizza boxes - everyone please say a blessing for this wonderful man. I took 200 to him tonight and he gave me a hug and said how sorry he was. What a blessing!.

New Facebook Page - Justice for Heidi: We launched a new page for Heidi. The old group will remain in use, but updates and new information will be posted to the page. Please "like" it and share widely.
Justice for Heidi

On 1/4/12, Heidi, a 7 month old female golden retriever was fatally shot 4 times by a small caliber hand gun while she romped and played on her own farm land not 300 yards from her house. This was not a hunting accident. It was a deliberate and calculated act of violence against an unsuspecting, innocent, non-threatening creature of God. Please help us find Heidi's killer ... if you have any information that can identify this person, please contact Frederick County Animal Control at 301-600-1544 or Frederick County Sheriff's Department at 301-600-1046.

As of 1/18/12, the reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Heidi's killer is over $7,500! Thanks to Goldheart Golden Retriever Rescue, their underwriting associates, and many, many of you for your private and corporate donations to this cause.

You can't find peace till you have all the pieces...please help us as we seek justice for Heidi...

Molly: Good stuff

She's looking so big! and healthy!
Molly in her new loaner cart - she is having a harder time with it but it is a much better fit.

Molly loves Chocolate the donkey but the cart scares him to death. Molly keeps trying to reach him and he keeps running!

Molly's sissy - Heidi. Let's find who killed her.

From Lynette's Facebook post:
I am asking everyone that believes in the power of prayer to please take a moment at noon tomorrow, 1/18/2012, and ask that the authorities be led to Heidi's killer. I do not want this person to ever get the chance to hurt another animal or even possibly a human. Tomorrow will be 2 weeks since this nightmare started. Thank you.

Finding Heidi's Killer

From Lynette's FB:
1/11/12: We received permission from Animal Control to have a search party on and near my property. We will do it on January 21, 2012 at 10:00 am and the goal is to have metal detectors to try and find the other 2 bullets and 4 casings. A good friend of mine is going to go to different places to see if they will loan us metal detectors. We will work in groups. Please let me know if you are free to help as we need to get some idea of how to lay out the area.

1/12/12: The metal detecting search for evidence for Heidi has been moved up to this Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 9:00 am - so far we have 6 metal detecting devices and hopefully we will have more. If anyone has one they could loan for the day that would be great. Please let me know if you are planning on coming so we can coordinate how to work this. Thank you.

Lynette and Heidi at GoldHeart Annual Picnic this year
Below are additional posts re: Heidi below. So many people are offering support to Lynette thru Facebook, I'm unable to keep up with everything BUT the big news is:

Humane Society of US is posting a $2500 reward, Goldheart is collecting from donors as far away as GA, AND Luis Carlos Montalvan, author of "Until Tuesday" is matching the HSUS donation!

The person(s) need to be found a pay for this sick act of inhumanity.

If anyone sees anything I miss or mess, please let me know. I want this blog to be accurate and helpful..

They have leads on Heidi's killer!

Here is yet another news clip on Molly's sissy, Heidi. In the clip is video of Molly scooting around in her cart - that Heidi helped encourage her to do. This is just so sad.

The only comfort is hoping they catch this sicko now! If they can shoot an innocent, little  happy-go-lucky, loving-life puppy, who knows what they could do if provoked or angered or even with road rage.

Molly's 'sissy', Heidi found shot to death

This is not a direct Molly update but I do feel we need to share what happened yesterday, Wed, Jan 4 on Lynette's farm in Middletown, Md. Heidi, Lynette's seven-month old golden puppy was missing. When they finally found her little body, she had been shot three times.

Below are links to various press, as well as a link to GoldHeart Golden Retriever Rescue who has set up a reward fund to encourage anyone who knows anything to step forward and report it to the police.

There is nothing more innocent than a precious puppy. This was truly evil.

Status update

Lynette's update:

Hooray - Molly got her stitches out today! The discouraging news is she lost the flexion in her legs we gained before the tail had to be amputated - but I am trying to stay positive. She will start physical therapy next Wednesday so please keep praying for a miracle for Molly.

You bet we will, Lynette! Thank you for all you do for that precious pup! She would not have had any chance if it were not for you! Bless you, bless you, bless you!
